Innovation coming to the 2015 International Motor Show, Frankfurt

BMW presents a host of new features for their new line of luxury cars, many of which are being unveiled exclusively at IAA. Some things to look forward to have to do with lighting technology and improving public perception that sustainability can be luxurious, too. If you happen to be in Frankfurt this month, be sure to look out for some new developments in the look and feel of 2016 BMW models.

BMW EfficientDynamics: BMW eDrive technology paves the way for electric driving pleasure in four plug-in hybrid models from BMW
The introduction of BMW eDrive technology in BMW brand models opens up all-electric motoring with zero local emissions to new target groups. Together with the soon-to-be-launched BMW X5 xDrive40e also on display, the BMW eDrive technology exclusively developed for BMW will be readily available for BMW models in 2016.

Cutting-edge lighting technology: BMW Laserlight, expressive interior and peripheral lighting
BMW’s latest innovations in this lighting technology are being presented at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Following on from their world premiere in the BMW i8, the exceptionally powerful BMW Laserlight headlights with anti-dazzle High Beam Assistant are now being made available for the new BMW 7 Series too. Look for this technology being incorporated in the interior of BMW models, for 2016.

BMW has translated the latest advances in the field of intelligent connectivity. Look for the latest additions to the BMW ConnectedDrive portfolio include the new BMW ConnectedDrive App, the BMW Remote Cockpit, the super-fast WiFi hotspot, automatic navigation map updates, smart home integration, as well as Remote Control Parking. All these systems and more will be making their debut in the new BMW 7 Series.
